NCA Inducts Barbara McKinnon into the Hall of Renown
By special proclamation, the Board of Directors and the members of the National Cosmetology Association (NCA) inducted Barbara McKinnon of Phoenix, AZ into the NCA Hall of Renown. Ceremonies took place during the NCA 86th Annual Convention in Chicago, IL.
The Hall of Renown is one of the 25,000-member professional association’s most prestigious honors and was presented to McKinnon in recognition of her more than 30-years of outstanding achievements in her cosmetology career. McKinnon has held numerous offices for the NCA’s Arizona Cosmetology Association, including serving on the Executive Board. She has advanced her training and technical skills by representing Creative Nail Design in teaching throughout the United States, while also being recognized as a competitor in many local, state and national level nail competitions.
“Barbara McKinnon’s responsibilities for the National Cosmetology Association have included judging national nail competitions, Nail Designer for the 1994 Spring/Summer and Fall/Winter collections, Section Director of NailTechnicians America for four years and Overall Director for the Americas’ Educators for two years,” said NCA President Josephine Zeppieri, on presenting the award. “The members of NCA wish to recognize a woman whose passion, energy and commitment to education has contributed to the cosmetology profession.”
