EstheticsAmerica Premiere DAYSPA Conference
Spa and salon professionals spent two education-filled days on Esthetic Medicine and High Touch Treatments, at the EstheticsAmerica Premiere DAYSPA Conference, held August 27-28, 2006 at Premiere Orlando.
EstheticsAmerica/CIDESCO USA, founded by the National Cosmetology Association (NCA) to service the growing number of skincare and spa professionals, partnered with Premiere Orlando to bring leading salon and spa professionals the latest business and treatment education.
EstheticsAmerica/CIDESCO USA hosted a roster of worldwide leading experts to deliver a dynamic experience throughout the two-day event. On Sunday, Keynote Speaker Lydia Sarfati, EstheticsAmerica chairperson, and founder and CEO of Sarkli-Repêchage, spoke on the secrets of success for upgrading your salon, finding what your clients really want, marketing & PR tactics, successful retailing, creating a business plan and new ideas to stimulate increased salaries.
On Monday, Keynote Speaker Dr. Howard Murad, M.D., dermatologist, pharmacist, Associate Clinical Professor of dermatology at UCLA and founder of Murad Inc., talked about the realities of today’s acne treatments. His in-depth review of acne treatments ranged from the prescription drug Accutane to the vitamin supplement Zinc and other vital nutrients needed for clear, healthy skin. Dr. Murad gave attendees in-depth, advanced knowledge to take back to their spas and ultimately provide their clients with the best treatments available.
Two study tracks, Esthetic Medicine, moderated by Paul Premo of Murad, Inc., and High Touch Treatments, moderated by NCA Director Dr. Mark Lees of Mark Lees Skin Care, offered participants the opportunity to experience a myriad of presentations taught by leaders in the health and beauty fields, including the following programs:
