NCA’s 2007 USA Beauty Open Scheduled June 10 at Premiere Orlando
The National Cosmetology Association (NCA) will host the 2007 USA Beauty Open on Sunday, June 10, during Premiere Orlando, Orlando, FL. The scores from this international, OMC-sanctioned* competition will be used as one of the determining factors in the appointment of the teams of students and professionals who will represent the NCA and the USA at the 2008 World Championships in Chicago, March 1-3, 2008.
Contests will be held in the following categories:
- Professional Ladies Fashion Trend Cut, Color & Style
- Professional Ladies Fashion Updo
- Professional Men’s Fashion Trend Cut, Color & Style
- Student Ladies Fashion Trend Cut, Color & Style
- Student Ladies Fashion Updo
- Student Men’s Fashion Trend Cut, Color & Style
In addition, two student competitors at the USA Beauty Open will be awarded the 2007 Sally Cup and $5,000 each to assist with their expenses for the 2008 World Championships.

*What does OMC-sanctioned mean?
The USA Beauty Open will be sanctioned by the OMC (Organisation Mondiale Coiffure), the world’s largest beauty organization, representing Hairdressing Federations in 70 countries. The NCA is the USA representative to the OMC. Dedicated to elevating the professionalism of the industry, the OMC promotes education and competition events worldwide.
