EstheticsAmerica Premiere DaySpa Conference - A Big Success
EstheticsAmerica/CIDESCO USA, founded by National Cosmetology Association (NCA) to service the growing number of skincare and spa professionals, recently partnered with Premiere/Orlando and DAYSPA Magazine to bring leading salon and spa professionals the latest business and treatment education.
Esthetics, spa and salon pros spent two education-filled days learning keys to legendary client service and customer loyalty, as well as the best business practices and the latest treatment innovations at the EstheticsAmerica Premiere DaySpa Conference, held August 28-29, 2005 at Premiere/Orlando. The famed Disney Institute and the Ritz Carlton Leadership Center, along with EstheticsAmerica/ CIDESCO USA members, and leading experts from top day spas delivered a memorable experience.
Legendary Service Program by The Ritz-Carlton-- The Ritz-Carlton hotels, renowned for indulgent luxury, sumptuous surroundings and legendary service, taught Conference attendees some of the hotel chain’s customer service secrets. Participants learned how to build customer loyalty; the power of empowering employees; how to select, orient, train and develop employees; and how to measure success. Jeff Hargett, Ritz-Carlton Director of Training and Organizational Effectiveness led the program.
“Customer Loyalty—Disney Style” by the Disney Institute — The Conference also offered a class on proven Disney success strategies for spa professionals to adapt in their own businesses. Disney’s Jeff Noel discussed the company’s specific techniques to deliver on a brand promise.
Estheticians took part in additional seminars taught by leaders in the health and beauty fields, including the following: Lydia Sarfati, Repêchage; Jan Arnold, Creative Nail Design; Dr. Merrick Ross, MD Anderson Center; and David Suzuki, Bio-Therapeutic, Inc.
Dr. Mark Lees, Mark Lees Skin Care, moderated a panel of experts, including Cheryl Tricoci Mario Tricoci /Elizabeth Arden Salons & Spas; Elaine Sterling, Spa Sydell; Thor Hom, Amelia Island Plantation Spa; and Robert James, Robert James Salon.
Carolyn Corporan, Beauty Systems Group moderated a panel including Asa Faulkner, Spa Sydell; Lydia Sarfati, Repêchage; and Erika Mangrum, Iatria Day Spas & Health Center.
