2011 PBA | NCA Sally Beauty Scholarship - Applications Available!
We are pleased to announce that the 2011 PBA | NCA Sally Beauty Scholarship applications are now available! Scholarships are available in two categories:
- Seven $1,000 scholarships will be awarded to high school graduates desiring to enter the cosmetology profession. Click here to download the student scholarship application.
- Six $500 scholarships will be awarded to current PBA | NCA members for continuing education in the field of cosmetology. Click here to download the PBA | NCA member scholarship application.
The applications deadline is November 15, 2010. Scholarships will be awarded at ISSE Long Beach 2011.
Thirteen scholarship recipients will be chosen and notified by mail. All scholarships are funded by Sally Beauty Supply and administered by the Professional Beauty Association | National Cosmetology Association. Applications will be reviewed by a committee appointed by the President of the National Cosmetology Association. All scholarship awards are final.
2010 Scholarship Winners
Over 200 applications were received for the 2010 PBA | NCA Sally Beauty Excel Scholarship. Although the selection process was difficult given the high caliber of applicants, the PBA | NCA committee responsible for awarding scholarships is proud to announce the following awards in each of the three qualifiying categories:
- Five $1,000 scholarships have been awarded to high school graduates, under the age of 26, desiring to enter the cosmetology profession. The 2010 winners are:

- Hilary Honadel-Havre, MT
- Sylvia Loya-Phoenix, AZ
- Genevieve Rucker-Coeur d'Alene, ID
- Cassia Vinson-Odessa, MO
- Three $1,000 scholarships have been awarded to current NCA members for continuing education in the field of cosmetology. The 2010 winners are:
- Kip Lamaison-Palmdale, CA
- Melissa Saenz-Montgomery, IL
- Pneurissa Stamps-Chicago, IL
- Two $1,000 scholarships have been awarded to deserving children or grandchildren of current NCA members for their use in pursuing advanced education at the college level. The 2010 winners are:
- Charles Carillon-Jacksonville, FL
- Lauren Paytes-Cincinnatti, OH
