Celebrating her 31st anniversary with REDKEN this year, Ann Mincey brings a wealth of worldwide industry experience to audiences.
Ann has developed and delivered inspiring messages of confidence, image and communication skills for salon professionals in Canada, South Africa , Asia – including Japan, Taiwan and Korea – South America and Mexico, Australia, New Zealand and throughout Europe.
Ann authored “GET GLOWING! You Are a Star Right Where You Are” - a book and original music that emphasizes the value of significance and unconditional encouragement for the salon professional in search of improving their lives and careers.
As the 2002 chairperson of The American Beauty Association Beauty Ball, Ann helped raise $575,050 in industry donations for the American Heart Association. The North American Hairstyling Awards inducted Ms. Mincey into the Hall of Leaders at the annual award ceremonies in January 2003. In July 2004, The City of Hope bestowed its prestigious Spirit of Life Award on Ms. Mincey. As the honoree, she was instrumental in raising $1,400,000 for breast cancer research at the Beckman Research Institute at City of Hope in Duarte, California.
In 2004, the National Cosmetology Association named Ann the recipient of the Hall of Renown citation for her encouragement of salon professionals to “live a better life.”
Additionally, Ann's bi-monthly article “Human Spirit” is read by haircolor professionals each month in Hair Color and Design magazine. She is frequently requested as guest contributor in industry publications and as a speaker at industry events including The Salon Association, WISE Women Conference, Serious Business Conference, and the National Cosmetology Association Life Success Series and SalonLife.
In 2006, Ann was named as chairperson for an industry-wide charitable outreach partnering REDKEN with b.cause and America 's Second Harvest. The campaign raised $120,000.
In his highly acclaimed book, “LIVING BRANDS,” author Raymond Nadeau names Ann Mincey as the one who taught him “that giant corporations indeed can be human and even demonstrate a collective soul.
