Winn Claybaugh is the author of Be Nice (Or Else!) and “one of the best motivational speakers in the country,” according to CNN's Larry King, who wrote the foreword for the book. A business owner for over 25 years with over 8,000 people in his organization, Winn is the founder and co-owner of hair care giant Paul Mitchell's school division, with more than 90 locations throughout the United States. The young company was ranked by Franchise Times magazine as the 7th fastest growing franchise in the country in 2006 and the 6 th fastest in 2007.

Since 1989, Winn has traveled extensively around the country, working as an educator and consultant with audiences ranging from housewives and belly dancers to college students and CEOs. He has been the National Motivational Expert for Paul Mitchell and h e has helped thousands of businesses build their brands and create successful working cultures. His clients include Vidal Sassoon, Southwest Airlines, the Irvine Company, Entertainment Tonight, Mattel, For Rent magazine, Structure/Limited/Express, and many other businesses from hospitals to apartment communities.

A popular speaker having facilitated thousands of seminars, Winn is a frequent guest on national radio and a regular contributor to online publications that reach millions of subscribers, including Beliefnet.com, HealthNewsDigest.com, BrandNewDad.com, Wellness.com, and SheKnows.com. He also hosts the MASTERS Audio Club, a popular beauty industry CD-of-the-month series with subscribers in over ten countries.

In 2004, the North American Hairdressing Awards (NAHA) recognized Winn's outstanding contributions to the hair and beauty industry by naming him to their Hall of Leaders. From 2004 to 2007, Winn and the Paul Mitchell Schools raised over $1.4 million for multiple charitable organizations, including the American Cancer Society, the Larry King Cardiac Foundation, the Leeza Gibbons Memory Foundation, Habitat for Humanity, hurricane relief, AIDS causes, City of Hope, and more.
